This book is the first edition of a story of two women leaders of the charities based in United Kingdom and Uzbekistan. Kathleen Rees is a Chief Executive of The Haven Wolverhampton, a women's refuges based in Wolverhampton, UK. Mavlyudakhon Shirinova is a Director of the Socio Economic Development Centre SABR in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, an NGO which supports the most vulnerable women and children in Samarkand Area. They worked together for over 12 years sharing knowledge and experience and supporting their charities through the most difficult times. The story is both personal and professional at the same time. It would be of interest to those who is involved in the charitable or women's sectors or who is generally interested in the Uzbek culture and traditions.
The book contains many photographs of Uzbekistan.
